לבגרות שלושה חלקים:

חלק א- מבחן E מבחן unseen פשוט: קטע קצר, שאלות על הטקסט וlistening part (נבחנים אקסטרניים מחו״ל לא עושים את חלק השמיעה)
חלק ב- מבחן F- ספרות (שאלות על מספר יצירות ספרותיות)
חלק ג- מבחן G- מבחן unseen ברמה גבוהה יותר ממבחן E, שאלות על הטקסט, ובסיום חלק של כתיבה (Essay)

דגשים לגבי מבחן F:

א. מבנה כללי של השאלון–

חלק ראשון מתייחס לאחד מתוך כמה סיפורים משניים. כל שנה משרד החינוך משנה את הסיפורים המשניים שיהיו במבחן: option 1 or option 2. צריך לבדוק באתרים באינטרנט או לשאול מורים/ חברים מהארץ איזה option יהיה במבחן. חלק זה מורכב מ2-3 שאלות אמריקאיות ו 2-3 שאלות פתוחות. את סיפורים אלו ניתן לקנות מamazon או מכל אתר אינטרנטי אחר.

חלק שני מתייחס לAll My Sons and The Wave- על הנבחן לבחור אחד מהם בבחינה. החלק הזה מורכב מ2-3 שאלות אמריקאיות ו 2-3 שאלות פתוחות.

חלק שלישי מתייחס גם הוא לסיפורים המשניים. בחלק זה הנבחן יוכל לבחור בין שתי שאלות, כאשר בכל אחת מהן מופיע ציטוט שקשור לאחד הסיפורים (אך אינו מופיע בו). הנבחן יתבקש להסביר את הקשר בין הציטוט לבין הסיפור.

שיטת למידה מומלצת לחלק זה–

לבחור ספר אחד מתוך השניים (all my sons/ the wave).
לקרוא את התקציר שלו מתוך המיקוד ורק לאחר מכן לקרוא את הטקסט המלא.
לפתור שאלות מהספר

למבחן צריך לזכור את הרעיון של כל סיפור, להבין מה תפקידה של כל דמות בעלילה. המבחן עם חומר סגור (לא ניתן להיעזר בטקסטים של הסיפורים)
מיקוד- בספר זה תקצירים ושאלות הכנה על כל סיפור שיכול להיות במבחן + תשובה לכל שאלה. הספר גם מדגיש את הנקודות החשובות של כל סיפור. לפני כל מועד בחינות יוצאת מהדורה מעודכנת של הספר, בהתאם לרשימת היצירות הרלוונטית לאותו מועד.
במבחן יופיעו שאלות בהם הנבחן יצטרך לבחור בthinking skill מסוים מתוך הרשימה (הרשימה מופיעה בספר), ויצטרך להשתמש בתשובותיו במילים הקשורות ל skill. לדוגמא, אם בוחר בinferring כthinking skill, הבודק של המבחן יחפש מילים בתשובה כמו I can infer/ probably/ etc… רשימת המילים עבור כל skill מופיע בספר המיקוד.

דגשים לגבי מבחן E: מבחן זה מכיל קטע קריאה- unseen ״פשוט״ ובהמשך מספר שאלות אמריקאיות ומספר שאלות פתוחות. לאחר מכן חלק שמיעה אשר אינו מתקיים במבחן האקסטרני בחו״ל. הלימוד לשאלון זה מתבסס על הספרון exam practice for module E ועיקרו קטעי קריאה ושאלות לדוגמא. מומלץ לנסות להצטייד בteacher edition המלווה גם בתשובות.

דגשים לגבי מבחן G: מבחן זה מכיל קטע קריאה- unseen קשה יותר ובעקבותיו שאלות אמריקאיות ופתוחות בדומה למבחן E. בנוסף לכך, יש חלק כתיבה/ חיבור- essay בו בדרך כלל נדרש להביע עמדה בנושא טענה שמוצגת בשאלון. טענות לדוגמא מופיעות בחוברת exam practice for module G. מומלץ לנסות להצטייד בteacher edition המלווה גם בתשובות.

כמו כן מומלץ לחפש באינטרנט שאלונים ותשובות משנים קודמות.

Bagrut In English:

Module E- an “easy” unseen (a short text) with questions about it, and a listening part (external students abroad do not do this part)
Module F- Literature (questions about short stories)
Module G- a “hard” unseen with questions about it, and an essay at the end.

Module F:

General structure of this module: The first part refers to one out a few “secondary” stories. Every year the Ministry of Education publishes a different list of “secondary” stories: Option 1 or Option 2. You should contact teachers or friends in Israel to make sure which option is going to be on the test. This part of the module includes 2-3 multiple choices and 2-3 open questions. You can find those “secondary” stories online. The second part of this module refers to the books All My Sons and The Wave. The student needs to choose to answer online one of these two books. This part of the module includes 2-3 multiple choice questions and 2-3 open questions. The third part of this module also refers to the “secondary” stories. In this part, the student can choose to answer 1 out of 2 questions. Each question presents a quote (which come from the text) and the student has to explain the relationship between the quote and the text.
Recommended learning methodology:

Choose only one of the two books (All My Sons/ The Wave)
Read the summary first from the Mikud and then read the book.

For the test, you need to memorize the main idea of each story, and understand the role of each character in each story. The student will not have the texts during the test.
Mikud – This book includes summaries and questions about each story that can be on the test + the answer for each question.
In the test, there will be questions where the student has to choose a thinking skill from the list (You can find these thinking skills in the Mikud book). For example, if I choose “inferring” as a thinking skill, the evaluator looks for words like I can infer/ probably/ I can assume/ etc.

Module E:

This module contains an “easy” unseen with text with multiple choice and open questions about it. After that there will be a listening part, but external students abroad do not do this part. To practice for this module, you should get the book- exam practice for module E. This book contains some unseen and questions to practice. You should try and get the teacher’s edition for this book so that you’ll have the answers for each question.

Module G:

This module contains a “hard” unseen with multiple choices and open questions about it– just like module E. In addition, there is also an essay that you are required to write. Usually this essay is an opinion essay. To practice for this module, you should get the book, Exam practice for module G, which contains some unseen and questions to practice + essays. You should try and get the teacher’s edition for this book so that you will have the answers for each question.
